Bridging the Gaps Bridging the Gaps is a collaboration among multiple academic health institutions (academic health centers, universities) in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and approximately 100 community organizations, which links the interprofessional education of health/social service professional students with the provision of health-related services for vulnerable populations. There are three components to the program: A community health internship program A seminar series addressing topics related to population health and care coordination A clinical program that is an interdisciplinary experience providing students with the opportunity to become more skilled in collaborative community clinical service for underserved populations News Reflections on 35 Years of Bridging the Gaps A recent 35th anniversary event showcased the impact of Bridging the Gaps through a symposium that brought together alumni, faculty and community leaders.
