Ogechukwu Menkiti, MD, is a professor in the Department of Pediatrics at 91制片厂. He is the vice chair for outreach, community partnerships, and innovation/integration at St Christopher鈥檚 Hospital for Children. He is the medical director of the Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation Program and the Regional Fetal Evaluation Program at St Christopher鈥檚 Hospital for Children.

Research

Dr. Menkiti鈥檚 research interests include defining the inflammatory response to extracorporeal membrane oxygenation in the pediatric population following initiation of ECMO. Dr Menkiti designed an ex vivo ECMO model that allows the study of blood- circuit interactions and its contribution to the resultant inflammatory milieu created in pediatric ECMO patients.
