Emily M. Levy, MD, is a family and sports medicine physician practicing in Manayunk and University City. She is board certified in primary care sports medicine and family medicine. Dr. Levy comes to Drexel from UC San Diego, where she served as the team physician for the university's soccer, basketball, lacrosse and rugby teams. She was also a team physician for the San Diego Sockers indoor professional soccer team, and served as medical director for the California State Games in 2017.

Dr. Levy has a particular clinical interest in joint injections and the use of ultrasound to guide injections and in the diagnosis of musculoskeletal injuries.

Emily M. Levy, MD, is an assistant professor in the Department of Family, Community & Preventive Medicine. She is active in the education of residents and medical students, and received the Arnold P. Gold Foundation Humanism and Excellence in Teaching Award in 2014.

Research

Dr. Levy has been involved in quality improvement research projects exploring BMI reminders and obesity documentation, and doctors' adherence to revised statin guidelines. More recently, she has focused on research in sports medicine including concussions and little leaguer's shoulder.
