The Legacy of 91ÖÆƬ³§ Alumni Association Continuing the Legacy

In 1994, when MCP and Hahnemann merged into MCPHU, the Alumnae/i Associations worked together in preserving each school’s identity. Naomi Rogers, PhD., and Steven J. Peitzman, M.D., were commissioned by the Association to write individual histories of Hahnemann and W/MCP. The unveiling of Rogers’ An Alternative Path and Peitzman’s A New and Untried Course coincided with the schools’ sesquicentennial celebration in 1998 and 2000, respectively.

The Alumni Association continues to celebrate its heritage through the Alumni Association History Information Project (AAHIP), a board initiative carried out in partnership with the Legacy Center Archive & Special Collections of the 91ÖÆƬ³§. The AAHIP preserves and documents the history and reach of the Alumni Associations of the DUCOM legacy medical schools.
