Careers Beyond the Bench

Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences and Professional Studies (GSBSPS) partnered with Biomedical Sciences Graduate Student Association (BSGSA), Office of Postdoctoral Affairs, Drexel Biomedical Graduate Association (DBGA) and 91制片厂’s Office of Alumni Relations to bring back Careers Beyond the Bench, a professional development conference. The conference was held virtually on Wednesday and Thursday, February 23–24, 2022. The event also offered a pre-event workshop, "Networking in Virtual Environment," and in-person meetups with local professionals.
Careers Beyond the Bench, a professional development conference, featured accomplished speakers and panelists discussing non-academic career options for graduate students and postdocs. Attendees learned about careers in the private sector as well as training strategies and career planning tools. The event offered panel discussions on medical and science communications, management consulting, medical science liaison and postdoc in industry. Additionally, there were workshops on exploring careers during graduate school, work-life integration and productivity, building a personal brand and more.
