Academic & Community Partnerships
The Center for Business and Program Development (CBPD) supports maintenance and development of new and existing educational and community partnerships between the Institute for Molecular Medicine and Infectious Disease (IMMID) and the Department of Microbiology and Immunology (M&I) with internal and external academic institutions and non-profit organizations through the following activities:
- Identifying, developing and facilitating new academic and research partnerships within 91ÖÆÆ¬³§, and with other regional, national and international institutions
- Active outreach to community organizations for promotion of STEM education
- Draft partnership agreements and contracts

Academic partnerships centered on graduate education
Elizabethtown College (Elizabethtown, PA): The Department of Microbiology and Immunology and Elizabethtown College partnered in 2011 to offer an articulated . At the end of five years, graduates of this program achieve a Bachelor of Science degree in Biotechnology from Elizabethtown College and a Master of Science Degree in Molecular Medicine from 91ÖÆÆ¬³§.

Community partnerships centered on public health education and awareness
The Center for Business and Program Development has established community outreach partnership with different non-profit organizations in Greater Philadelphia in an effort to promote STEM education and for public health education and awareness about infectious diseases. Below is a list of planned and confirmed events in which the Center will participate. We invite you to join us.
2017 AIDS education month activities (June):
- June 7: End AIDS: The HIV Prevention and Outreach Summit. Philadelphia Fight.
- June 24: Community Cookout. Philadelphia Fight.
2017 Summer camps:
- August 20-26: Youth Summer Camps, Camp Dreamcatcher.
