As an end to our Spring term, we want to take a look back at this academic year 2018-2019 and mention all the accomplishments from our amazing faculty and students at Westphal College of Media Arts & Design. It has been a busy year with students studying abroad, faculty research, visiting artists and collaborations without outside companies. We are excited for the year to come to an end and appreciate the hard work of our community at Westphal.

The end of spring term is rapidly approaching, and for many students, this is the busiest time of year. It’s impossible not to feel enormous pride in the creative and accomplished work that is the culmination of years of hard work and study. This year's Senior Show Exhibitions of Work include Entertainment & Arts Management, Fashion Design, Digital Media, Music Industry, Film & Television, Graphic Design, Interior Design, Photography, Design & Merchandising, Screenwriting & Playwriting, Animation & Visual Effects, and Product Design.

Expect the experimental; 3-D design, handcrafted macramé, silk embellishments and some sustainably sourced collections will set the stage at Drexel’s University’s annual fashion show on Saturday, June 1 presented by the Fashion Design and Design & Merchandising programs in the Westphal College of Media Arts & Design.

The creativity of local students will be on full display this summer as the 29-story LED array of Brandywine Realty Trust’s Cira Centre office building is once again converted into the world’s largest video game display. Students and teachers from K-12 schools across the Greater Philadelphia region have been working with experts in 91��Ƭ��’s Entrepreneurial Game Studio to design and code new games for the building — those games will debut on the evening of June 10 as part of a celebration for the opening of the city’s newest green space, Drexel Square. The opening of Drexel Square park marks the first completed project of the Schuylkill Yards development, a 14-acre master-planned neighborhood in University City being developed by Brandywine Realty Trust on land owned by and in coordination with Drexel.

Upon the release of Nat Turner Rebellion’s debut album 50 years after its recording, 91��Ƭ��’s Westphal College of Media Arts & Design and its MAD Dragon Music Group brought together the album’s many collaborators and the group’s sole-surviving member for an evening of celebration and remembrance.
