This innovative and immersive production is co-created by choreographer and dance faculty, , and acclaimed pianist and Rankin Scholar in Residence, . Romeo and Juliet – The Choice is performed on November 17-18, 2018 in the URBN Center.

      Philadelphia Museum of Dance is a day-long public performance that will take place at the Barnes Foundation on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2018 from 3 - 9 p.m. A free exhibit of live dance, Philadelphia Museum of Dance will explore the tension between public and private experiences, while offering a new opportunity to engage with how dance and visual art are exhibited.

      Belén Maya, renowned Flamenco dancer, artist and teacher, joins us for a month of performances, master classes, and engagements as a Rankin Scholar in Residence. Maya will bring her celebrated one woman show, Romnia, to the Black Box Theater for two nights only on October 13 and 14. Romnia, or woman in the romani language, takes a complex and deeply emotive look into the historical narrative of the Gypsy woman, countering joy with the courage to survive.
