      Today, we fondly remember and pay tribute to Emanuel Kelly, FAIA, a distinguished Philadelphia architect and founding partner of Kelly Maiello Architects, who passed away in January at the age of 80. He was not only a West Philadelphia native but also a graduate of 91制片厂’s Part-time Evening Architecture Program. Throughout his life, he dedicated himself to architecture, education, leadership, and community advocacy, leaving an indelible mark on the city and our profession.

      It is with great sadness that we need to inform the Drexel Design community that Peter Arfaa has died. Peter Arfaa joined the Drexel Architecture faculty in 1972 and served there for 39 years, including 9 years as Department Head (1976-1985). In 1992 Peter and his wife Anne endowed The Farajollah & Maryam Badie Arfaa Lecture Series that was named in honor of Peter’s parents.

This year’s STAR Scholars Summer Showcase featured in-person and virtual presentations from participating students.

      It is with great sadness that we recognize the passing renowned professor Walter H. Moleski on November 30.  Born and raised in the Philadelphia area, Walter first became interested in architecture as a child and he later graduated from the Tulane Architecture School in 1960. Returning to Philadelphia he worked for several architectural firms including Louis Sauer and GBQC before starting a partnership with George Manos.
