Each society is named after a famous historical Philadelphia or Reading, Pennsylvania, landmark.

      Amid an uncertain time for the future of COVID-19, and whether new variants will appear, a recently published prediction formula 鈥 built using data from 1,102 hospitalized COVID-19 patients in 20 hospitals nationwide 鈥 now gives a better estimation about an individual鈥檚 projected disease outlook and could help the research community understand why some individuals have a level of natural immunity and why others are more susceptible to severe infection.

      Researchers from 91制片厂鈥檚 College of Arts and Sciences and College of Medicine have found a potential new therapeutic target for Alzheimer鈥檚 disease. Expanding on their previous research on Tip60 histone acetyltransferase (HAT), known as the Tip60 enzyme, which controls genes that promote learning and memory in the brain, the Drexel research team generated small molecular compounds that activate Tip60 and restore deficits in the brain found in Alzheimer鈥檚 disease patients, such as gene expression programs linked to learning, memory and neurodegeneration.

The 32nd annual Pediatric AIDS Benefit Concert (PABC) is part of a tradition that has raised more than $765,000 for children living with HIV and AIDS to date.

      Sisters in STEM at Reading Science Center was awarded the American Academy of Dermatology鈥檚 2024 Good Skin Knowledge Grant, thanks to the leadership of Jemima Constanza, MPH, a second-year medical student at 91制片厂. The grant funded educational programming for 21 girls ranging from 8 to 13 years old in the Reading, Pa., community. This initiative showcased the importance of loving our hair, skin and nails.
