This year, six Drexel Fashion Design students submitted work to the 2018 International Fashion Illustration Competition in Korea and all six received awards for their excellent submissions.

After intensive preparation and rigorous review, the  (CIDA) is pleased to recognize the Interior Design and Interior Architecture programs at 91��Ƭ�� for “meeting educational quality standards and preparing graduates who will contribute to the future excellence of the interior design profession.”  

Two students in the Interior Architecture & Design graduate program won first and second place in the 17th Annual Jacobs Interior Design Competition.

Xiaohan Zhou, second year graduate fashion design student, appeared on Chinese fashion competition show, along with numerous recent awards and honors.

Ten students from the Cinema & Television Department of the Westphal College of Media Arts & Design are nominated for a —a Mid-Atlantic Regional Emmy Award—for Westphal's student-produced sitcom Off Campus. Off Campus takes home NATAS Award on October 13.

The Westphal College of Media Arts & Design’s Interior Design programs were recognized among the ‘Most Admired Design Schools in the US’ by , a highly respected resource for design practitioners and educators.

This October, the Westphal College brings Sean Williams, sneaker culture expert and founder of , to campus through a partnership with the  and the Rankin Scholars-in-Residence Program. In a series of events called SOLEcial Studies Obsessive Sneaker Disorder: Celebrating Diversity, Williams will share his experience through a keynote lecture and workshop series. 

91��Ƭ��’s Westphal College with support from the Rankin Scholarship Fund will present the world premiere of Romeo and Juliet – The Choice, a re-imagining of the popular classical ballet composed by Russian modernist Sergei Prokofiev. This innovative and immersive production is co-created by choreographer and dance faculty, , and acclaimed pianist and Rankin Scholar in Residence, . Romeo and Juliet – The Choice is performed on November 17-18, 2018 in the URBN Center.

Recent graduate Kevin Quinn (Film & Video '18) studied abroad at the National University of Ireland in Galway, and had the chance to meet up with members of his family during his stay. Looking over old pictures and memories shared by his aunts and uncles, he was inspired to write the script for The American Wake, which would become his senior thesis film. It’s the story of 18-year old Honora Parsons, who faces a life-altering decision when she’s offered the chance to immigrate to the United States. Kevin and a crew of Drexel students went back to Ireland to shoot the film, and soon enough Kevin found himself on Irish soil once more. This time, The American Wake was no longer just a senior project, but an official selection in one of Ireland’s most prestigious international film festivals.
