Help Strengthen Drexel’s Academic and Employer Reputation

This message was shared with faculty on February 2, 2026.

Dear Colleagues,

Drexel participates annually in the QS World University Rankings, where Academic Reputation (30%) and Employer Reputation (15%) together account for nearly half of the overall score. These measures are based entirely on external reputation surveys, not institutional data, and play a critical role in Drexel’s global visibility.

To strengthen Drexel’s performance in these rankings, we are launching a newÌýÌýthat allows external academic and employer collaborators to opt in to being nominated for QS reputation surveys. We are asking for your help in sharing this link with your external collaborators.

Who to Invite

Please share this link withÌýexternal academics and employersÌýwho are familiar with Drexel’s work and well-positioned to provide informed perspectives. The webpage includes language that can be used when sharing the link. The most effective times to request consent are during natural points of collaboration, such as:

  • The launch of a new research grant
  • The publication of a co-authored paper
  • The conclusion of a student internship or co-op
  • Industry partnership renewals

Academic collaboratorsÌý(external faculty or researchers) should be able to assess Drexel’s:

  • Research quality and impact
  • Teaching quality in their discipline

Employer and industry collaboratorsÌýshould have direct experience with Drexel students or graduates and be able to assess:

  • Graduate quality and preparedness
  • Employability and workplace readiness

About the Webpage and Consent Form

  • This is not the actual QS survey, but rather a consent form indicating willingness to participate in the QS survey.
  • The form is intended only for external collaborators, not members of the Drexel community.
  • The page may be shared at any time; consent remains on file for future survey cycles.

By sharingÌýÌýbroadly with Drexel’s academic and employer partners, we can ensure that QS reputation surveys more accurately reflect the breadth, quality, and international reach of Drexel’s collaborations. Our goal is to make reputation management a year-round priority, ensuring our global visibility matches our institutional impact. Thus, we plan to send a quarterly reminder about this process.

Every partnership is an opportunity to strengthen Drexel’s reputation. Thank you for your continued partnership and contributions to Drexel’s global impact.

Sincerely,
