Professor Robert I. Field appeared on the Singapore news station on January 28. In the segment, Field suggested that President Biden could “work with the supply chain” to help advance the distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine. Field stated that coordinating the supply chain is where the distribution in the U.S. had stumbled previously.
Field also suggested that if a federal mandate for the COVID-19 vaccine were established, U.S. state law that allows individuals to reject a vaccine for such reasons as religious beliefs, medical conditions, etc. would likely apply.
