Entrepreneurial Law Clinic Students Aid Start-ups During Philly Tech Week

The law school's Entrepreneurial Law Clinic students hosted two events during , Philadelphia's annual gathering of tech entrepreneurs which wraps up on Saturday.

On the April 3 "" event 3Ls Chris Manchin and Fernando Rivera discussed 
the pros and cons of forming an LLC versus incorporating alongside an expert panel including attorneys Neil Cooper of Royer Cooper Cohen & Braunfeld and Geoff Weber of Weber Law LLC, and start-up accountant Andrew Malone of Fesnak & Associates.

In the "" on April 8, 3Ls Matthew Herd and Elizabeth Rosenthal discussed who owns the intellectual property created during a hackathon or start-up weekend and the rights of team members collaborating on a potential start-up.  The event also featured an expert panel including start-up lawyers Lou Rappaport of Blank Rome, Fred Wilf of Wilftek LLC, and Rick Nucci, Dell Boomi founder and PSL president.

The law school's Entrepreneurial Law Clinic, directed by start-up lawyer Steven Rosard, provides legal advice for Philadelphia's entrepreneurs by matching students with a select number of innovative start-up company clients.
