Professors Susan L. Brooks and Emily Zimmerman took part in , the Inaugural National Symposium on Experiential Education in Law at Northeastern University, starting on Oct. 26.
Brooks, who is associate dean for experiential learning, presented a paper during a session called “Reimagining Competencies in Experiential Education in Law: Mission, Goals, Vocabulary.”
Zimmerman presented a paper during a session called “Beyond Carnegie: Experiential Education as an Integrated Curriculum,” which focused on trends that have emerged in the years since the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching recommended more emphasis on hands-on learning in the law school curriculum.
