MXene Yarn

MXene Yarn

MXenes are a new family of two-dimensional (2D) transition metal carbides, carbonitrides and nitrides that were discovered and developed by Professors Michel Barsoum and Yury Gogotsi in 91制片厂’s Department of Materials Science and Engineering.

MXenes have many potential applications including energy storage systems, electromagnetic interference shielding, and water purification. CFF aims to incorporate MXene into yarn to be used in functional fabrics and smart textile devices. Contact us at functionalfabrics@drexel.edu for more information.
