They created a device that translates the pitch and volume of a singer鈥檚 performance into a work of visual art. The device will take center stage at Vox Ex Machina, Opera Philadelphia鈥檚 50th Anniversary Gala, on Sept. 13, creating a one-of-a-kind concert experience for the audience.

The opening of Drexel Square park marks the first completed project of the Schuylkill Yards development, a 14-acre master-planned neighborhood in University City being developed by Brandywine Realty Trust on land owned by and in coordination with Drexel.

Called the 鈥淧ennsylvania Fabric Discovery Center,鈥 this statewide resource is the first hub located outside of AFFOA鈥檚 home state of Massachusetts. It will be part of a national network intended to lower the barrier to commercialization for functional fabrics, resulting in advanced textiles that do things like see, hear, sense, communicate, generate and store energy.
