Technology Training
The Beachell Family Learning Center offers free software and credentialing preparatory classes for Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, Publisher and PowerPoint) and Google Suite (e.g. Docs, Sheets, Gmail, and Google Drive). Community residents are welcome to participate in these ongoing courses to enter the workforce, start or sustain a business, or improve their technology proficiency for their daily lives.
Northstar Computer Basics Training
The Beachell Center is working with the and Drexel's Excite Center to boost digital literacy though the digital literacy program. We are currently offering in-person training sessions Tuesday-Thursday from 5-7pm at the KEYSPOT computer lab. Learn more about this program .
CompTIA Net+ Program
In November 2021, Drexel's Goodwin College of Professional Studies launched its inaugural Net+ credentialing prep program. Through funding from the , the Beachell Family Learning Center recruited 60 applicants from , , , and who had completed their A+ certification, employed, and ready for the next step in their career development.
