EXTERNAL FELLOWSHIPS

Below is a list of national fellowships. These fellowships are offered to extraordinary graduate students in the chemical sciences:

• 
  The GRFP recognizes and supports outstanding graduate students in NSF-supported science, technology, engineering and mathematics disciplines who are pursuing research-based master's and doctoral degrees at accredited United States institutions. Eligibility is limited to U.S. citizens and permanent residents. The NSF GRFP offers 2,000 Fellowships each year.
• 
  The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s National Center for Environmental Research runs competitions for STAR grants, graduate and undergraduate fellowships, research contracts under the Small Business Innovative Research Program and other research assistance programs.
• 
  Provides unique financial and fellowship support to the nation's most remarkable PhD students in the applied physical and biological sciences, mathematics and engineering. Hertz Fellows become innovators and leaders serving in ways that benefit us all.

ADDITIONAL RESOURCES

Grants and awards are also available for outstanding students that meet certain eligibility criteria. These awards are available as travel awards, dissertation grants as well as National labs training:
