Linda Wilson, PhD, is an assistant dean for Continuing Education, Simulation & Events and a clinical professor in the Division of Nursing at 91制片厂 College of Nursing and Health Professions. Wilson completed a BSN at College Misericordia in Dallas, Pennsylvania, and completed a MSN in Critical Care and Trauma at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. She completed a PhD in Nursing Research at Rutgers University in Newark, New Jersey. Wilson also has a postgraduate certificate in Epidemiology and Biostatistical Methods from 91制片厂 and a postgraduate certificate in Pain Management from the University of California San Francisco, School of Medicine. Wilson completed the National Library of Medicine/Marine Biological Laboratory, Biomedical Informatics Fellowship and the Harvard University Institute for Medical Simulation’s Comprehensive Workshop and Graduate Course in Medical Simulation. She has several certifications: Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse (CPAN), Certified Ambulatory Perianesthesia Nurse (CAPA), ANCC Board Certified in Nursing Professional Development (NPD-BC), Certified Nurse Educator (CNE), Certified Academic Clinical Nurse Educator (CNEcl)鈥疌ertified Healthcare Simulation Educator–Advanced (CHSE-A). Wilson served as the president of the American Society of Perianesthesia Nurses (2002 - 2003) and as an ANCC Commission on Accreditation Appraiser site surveyor since 2000. Wilson specializes in simulation, debriefing, informatics, perianesthesia, pain and comfort management and critical care.

Academic Distinctions

Wilson was inducted into the Academy of Nurse Educator Fellows (ANEF) and as a Fellow in the American Academy of Nursing (FAAN) in 2014.鈥疻ilson was inducted as a Fellow of the American Society of PeriAnesthesia Nurses (FASPAN) in 2018 and as an ASPAN Legacy for Life in 2018. Wilson was inducted as a Fellow of the Society for Simulation in Healthcare Academy in January 2023. Wilson is the coeditor for several books: Human Simulation for Nursing and Health Professions (2012, Springer), Review Manual for the Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator鈩 (CHSE鈩) Exam, (3rd Edition) (In Press, Springer),鈥痶he鈥Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) Review Manual, (4th Edition) (2022, Springer) and the Certified Academic Clinical Nurse Educator (CNEcl) Review Manual (2020, Springer).
