BIOMED Alumni Share Advice on Careers and Employment Post-graduation

The student organization Drexel Biomedical Undergraduate Association (DBUA) hosted a hybrid alumni career panel event in the Bossone Research Center's Third Floor Atrium. The event featured seven Drexel BIOMED alumni panelists from industry employers, such as , , , , , , BIOMED alumni shared their experiences and offered advice to BIOMED students, whose questions included:

  • How did co-op and/or research at Drexel inform your choices for choosing what job you took upon graduation?

  • For those who pursued master’s degrees without a thesis, did this limit you? Would you have done a thesis in retrospect?

  • If you have experience in hiring, what skills do you look for when doing so?

  • What is one piece of advice you'd offer to a senior looking to work in industry and be successful in the job search?

  • Outside of career fairs, how would you expand your network?

  • How often do companies hire part-time? I’m look for part-time work now as a student.

  • What changes do you expect to happen in your industry? How can we, as students, prepare for those changes?
