Join Us for MED Week With These Virtual Events

91制片厂 will be participating in Philadelphia's 36th annual Minority Enterprise Development (MED) Week. Running from Oct. 5-9, MED Week will highlight minority businesses and the resources that help them grow. This year, all events will be virtual; as a result, it is more important than ever that we extend our resources, relationships and knowledge to the Philadelphia business community.

Drexel's Procurement Services & Accounts Payable team will be collaborating with the Office of University & Community Partnerships, the LeBow College of Business and Westphal College of Media Arts & Design to provide four free events:

Navigating Supplier Diversity & Inclusion as a Latino Business Owner – Oct. 8, 5-6:30 p.m.

91制片厂 has invited some of the top Supplier Diversity leaders from across the country to discuss the current state and areas of opportunity for Latino business owners. The panel will discuss how business owners can obtain access to procurement opportunity through inclusion programs and identify successful traits/business practices from suppliers who have achieved business success.

Drexel and Digital Branding for Your Business – Oct. 9, 2-3 p.m.

Drexel's Westphal faculty and students worked with Supreme Oasis, a West Philly restaurant, on their new logo. Hear from this MBE and how your business can obtain free, professional-quality graphic design services for your small business or non-profit organization.

 

The Margins: But Where is the Money Going? – Oct. 9, 2-3:30 p.m.

Philadelphia anchor institutions collectively have over a billion dollars in purchasing power, yet Philadelphia Black businesses have not been able to access an equitable amount of contracting. Learn from some of Philadelphia's top Black CEOs on their challenges to obtain profitable margins that can support a sustainable business and what Drexel plans to do to address this wealth disparity.
