Earlier this year, students enrolled in HSAD 335: Health Care Policy had the unique opportunity to visit city officials at Philadelphia’s City Hall and gain real time experience. During their visit, students observed full Council sessions on budget hearing and public testimony on proposed bills.

Coming from her own experience, she launched Tribu, a meal service company specializing in prenatal and postpartum foods with an emphasis on the traditional flavors of the African Diaspora.

Sona Diallo, a Nutrition Sciences bridge student, always intended a career in health care. Where she thought medical school was her path, she found a passion for nutrition.

Two students at 91��Ƭ�� College of Nursing and Health Professions are each a recipient of a $10,000 scholarship from the William and Theresa M. Rubert Memorial Scholarship Trust. The Trust provides financial awards for qualified persons who wish to attend 91��Ƭ��'s College of Nursing and Health Professionals. Students must be full-time and academically qualified BSN co-op pre-junior, junior or senior with financial need to be considered.

The College of Nursing and Health Professions is moving the needle in bringing awareness, support and recognition to diversity, equity and inclusion. Pride Month is celebrated every June and this year we note what the college is doing for all its communities.

DeAnna Harris-McKoy, PhD, LMFT, came to Drexel because they live what they teach around social justice and because she saw women, who look like her, in positions of authority making meaningful changes in their communities.

Jen Ensor has always enjoyed helping others in all areas of life. Throughout high school, she was focused on making a difference and planned to work in a hands-on field after graduation. With clear objectives in mind, she enlisted in the U.S. Army Reserve. After completing basic training, Jen began training to become an Army medic, then worked alongside a physician assistant and Drexel alum, who was practicing at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. Inspired by his competence and professionalism, Jen decided this was a career she wanted to learn more about and consider for her future.

Doctor of Health Science student and APTA Pediatrics Practice Development committee co-chair, Hilary Terhune has been awarded the Academy of Pediatric Physical Therapy 2022 Bud DeHaven Service Award for her extraordinary contributions to the organization and community.
