On November 16, 2021, the College of Nursing and Health Professions in partnership with Offices of University Communications and Enrollment Management & Student Success filmed an Ambition Can't Wait commercial portraying a disaster simulation exercise. Students, alumni, faculty and professional staff took part in the one-day taping at the New College Building on Drexel's Center City Campus.

The 91��Ƭ�� Dornsife School of Public Health (DSPH) and College of Nursing and Health Professions (CNHP) invite applications from early-career investigators for up to 12 tenure-track assistant professor positions, as part of the inaugural NIH-funded Drexel FIRST program. Drexel FIRST (Faculty Institutional Recruitment for Sustainable Transformation) is a novel NIH initiative to enhance inclusive excellence in health disparities research and support career development and retention of early-career investigators with a strong focus on developing independent research. Inclusive excellence refers to a culture that establishes and sustains scientific environments that cultivate and benefit from a full range of talents and involves the recruitment of a critical mass of early-career faculty with commitment to principles of inclusive excellence.

Four Class of 2021 graduates from 91��Ƭ�� College of Nursing and Health Professions each received a $10,000 scholarship from the William and Theresa M. Rubert Memorial Scholarship Trust. The Trust provides financial awards for qualified students who attend the College of Nursing and Health Professions. Students must be full-time and academically qualified BSN co-op pre-juniors or juniors with financial need to be considered.

After spending decades running a marketing and advertising company with her husband, Drexel alumna Holly Hagy, BS nursing '15, chose nursing as her second career. Because she saw the need for and importance of health practitioners in rural communities, Hagy moved to New Mexico to care for folks in Magdalena, New Mexico.

A study proposed by Creative Arts Therapies PhD candidate Nalini Prakash has been approved for a $19,000 Research Grants in the Arts award funded by the National Endowments for the Arts (NEA). Nalini received one of 14 awards given in this category for financial year 2021.
