No matter what unique reasons students give for seeking careers as physician assistants, one thing most give for selecting CNHP’s program are the same. McAllister Egbire-Molen and Zach Clark both talk about the mission of our program as their deciding factor.

The PA SNAP-Ed/ Eat Right Philly program in the Department of Nutrition Sciences partners with the School District of Philadelphia and many other organizations to educate students, families and communities about nutrition and to give participants the knowledge, tools and encouragement to make healthy choices related to nutrition and physical activity.

Four students at 91��Ƭ�� College of Nursing and Health Professions are each recipients of a $10,000 scholarship from the William and Theresa M. Rubert Memorial Scholarship Trust.

As long-term strategic plans coalesce for the College of Nursing and Health Professions, Dean Gitlin affirms our commitment to community-centered health and wellness in all the areas where we serve. Roberta Waite, EdD, PMHCNS, ANEF, FAAN, with her years of scholarly, clinical and administrative expertise, is the perfect person to lead the charge of implementing learning opportunities with community practices. 

The College of Nursing and Health Professions at 91��Ƭ�� will receive $1.5M of the $54.3M grant given by the National Institute on Aging to Brown University and Harvard University to move the needle on dementia care.

CNHP's program in health administration is one of a few in the country that offers a full course in nonprofit management. Its professor, Stephen Gambescia, PhD, wrote the book on the topic.

Drexel Family Medicine’s Geriatric Home Visit (GHV) Program delivers comprehensive geriatric assessment, primary medical care and coordinated social services to homebound older adults in Philadelphia who are 65 years old or older. Now in its seventh year, the GHV team, headed by Brent Simmons, MD, is located at the Family Medicine/Manayunk office.

While this PA alumna specializes in infectious disease, most of her days are spent providing care, primary, gynecological, mental health and substance abuse treatment—whatever care her patients need—and administrative support as chief quality officer at FIGHT.

This physician assistant serves her country and her patients at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island and Naval Hospital Beaufort in South Carolina. Her core values provide the foundation of her personal philosophy, something that is very apparent in her care.

This interprofessional, interactive and hands-on program, presented by experts in the field of dementia care, will provide attendees an opportunity to learn and practice strategies for working with persons with dementia.
